Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Business Growth:
Develop and implement a retail growth strategy aligned with the company's objectives.
Identify new market opportunities and expand the company's retail network across Nigeria.
Lead brand positioning efforts to enhance market share and customer engagement.
Sales & Revenue Optimization:
Drive fuel, lubricant, and non-fuel retail sales to meet revenue and profitability targets.
Implement competitive pricing strategies and sales promotions.
Monitor market trends and adjust business strategies accordingly.
Retail Operations Management:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of all retail outlets, ensuring efficiency and profitability.
Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for service stations.
Implement effective inventory management to minimize losses and stock shortages.
Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure all retail stations comply with DPR, NMDPRA, and other regulatory requirements.
Enforce strict health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards at all outlets.
Conduct periodic audits and assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
Customer Experience & Service Quality:
Establish high customer service standards to enhance the consumer experience.
Implement customer feedback mechanisms and loyalty programs.
Ensure proper training of retail staff to maintain excellent service delivery.
Financial & Budgetary Management:
Develop and oversee budgets and financial forecasts for retail operations.
Monitor financial performance, ensuring cost control and profitability.
Optimize retail margins through effective cost management and operational efficiencies.
Leadership & Team Development:
Lead, train, and develop a high-performing retail operations team.
Set performance targets and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
Foster a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement.
Key Requirements
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field (MBA is an advantage).
10+ years of experience in the oil and gas downstream sector, with at least 5 years in a senior retail management role.
Proven track record in managing multiple retail outlets and driving sales performance.
