Customer is a leading technology and services provider in the energy industry, committed to driving innovation and efficiency in all areas of our operations. We are seeking a talented PCB-CAD Librarian with hands-on experience in Cadence tools to join our dynamic team. The PCB-CAD Librarian will be responsible for creating and maintaining
• High-quality schematic symbols
• PCB footprints
• 3D models in accordance with IPC standards
• Managing version control and database organization
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, and
• Utilizing design automation techniques to enhance workflows.
Main functions/responsibilities:
• Create and maintain high-quality schematic symbols, PCB footprints, and 3D models in accordance with IPC standard IPC-7351.
• Ensure that all component data is accurate and up to date.
• Maintain ECAD library databases with rigorous version control processes.
• Work closely with Electrical engineers, PCB designers, and Project teams to ensure designs are optimized for production and assembly (DFM/DFA).
• Communicate effectively to understand CAD needs and address issues.
• Apply design automation techniques to enhance library creation and verification workflows.
• Develop and implement automated processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve CAD-related design issues during PCB layout, schematic creation, and manufacturing processes.
• Conduct thorough quality checks to verify alignment with industry and company standards.
• Ensure compliance with IPC standards (e.g., IPC-2221, IPC-7351).
• Basic PCB design knowledge is must.
• Understand and adhere strictly to company policies, standards, and procedures
Work Experience
Education:
Diploma or Bachelors in one of the following disciplines:
• Electronics Engineering
• Electrical and Electronics Engineering
• Electronics and Communication Engineering
• Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering
Required Skills:
Mandatory:
• Hands-on experience with Cadence tools, including Cadence Pulse tool or version 17.2,17.4.
• Strong understanding of IPC standards (IPC-2221, IPC-7351).
• Hands-on experience in ECAD-MCAD Tool.
• Strong understanding of Components and datasheets.
• Proficiency in ECAD software and 3D modelling in Creo.
• Hands-on experience in PLM system.
• Strong problem-solving and error analysis capabilities.
Recommended:
• Experience with design automation techniques.
• PCB design Technic(minimum 6 layers)
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with database management and categorization.
Other Skills and Abilities:
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Adaptability to new technologies and SLB standards.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
