Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic and driven HR Intern to join our team.This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for HR to gain further experience in a fast-paced environment. As an Intern, you will assist with various HR functions under the guidance of the HR Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities
Support the HR Manager in daily HR activities.
Assist with leanership program administration.
Participate in HR projects and initiatives.
Assist with scheduling interviews and preparing interview packs.
Attend and observe interviews and inuction sessions to gain exposure.
Support the onboarding process by preparing induction materials and starter packs.
Assist with compiling reports, maintaining the employee master list, and updating information.
Participate in HR team meetings and take notes where required.
Attend and observe grievance or disciplinary procedures when permitted.
Learn the basics of labour law and internal policies.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Requirements
Grade 12 certificate
Tertiary qualification in related HR Diploma/Dgree or equivalent
A minimum of 1 years’ experience proven HR experience
Competencies:
Computer Literate
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Gmail)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent organisational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects
Strong phone, email and in-person etiquette.
Confidentiality, integrity, and emotional maturity are non-negotiable attributes
Must have a desire to learn and ability to work in a very fast-paced environment
Strong attention to details
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
Good and positive attitude is essential.
Ability to interact with management and staff at all levels
Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
Ability to cope with a demanding workload
Ability to build trust, respect, and keep confidential information
