Remote System Administrator - Global Virtual Reality Social Platform - EASTWOOD

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Remote System Administration in a 24x7 Production Environment Focusing on Ubuntu Linux Server(s), Perform Daily Maintenance, Monitoring, and Troubleshooting of Linux System(s) and Service(s)

Triage and Resolve Issue(s) and Escalate Issue(s) when Appropriate, Investigate Alert(s) and Coordinate Response(s), Document Response(s) and Communicate Effectively with Team Member(s), Serve as the Primary On-Call Engineer on a Rotating Basis During your Scheduled Shift(s)

Minimum Hiring Qualifications:

1 Year(s) of Production Linux System Administration Experience, Strong Troubleshooting and Communication Skills - Ability to Work Various Shift Schedule(s) Including Early Morning(s), Evening(s), Night(s), Weekend(s), and Holiday(s) in a 24x7 Production Environment

Proficient in Bash Scripting with the Ability to Understand and Modify GoLang and Perl, Familiarity with User Management, Configuration, and Package Management Best Practice(s), Experience Managing Proxmox or a Similar Linux KVM Hypervisor, Experience Configuring and Debugging Networking Issue(s), Including Routing Problem(s) as well as Firewall Rule(s), Ubuntu Experience or Debian Experience is Strongly Preferred (DEBIAN GNU/LINUX)

Knowledge and Experience with the Following Technologies (But Not Required to be an Expert): APACHE, NGINX, HAPROXY, MYSQL, REDIS, MEMCACHE, SCYLLADB, ELASTICSEARCH, RABBITMQ, NAGIOS, PROMETHEUS, GRAFANA, PROXMOX, BASH, PERL, GO, PHP, CEPH, CFENGINE, GIT, DOCKER, JUNIPER
