Job Description
Accountabilities:
- End-to-end Service accountability of Hybrid Operations IT portfolio.
- Manage staff, develop, mentor, and provide guidance, training, and motivation as necessary.
- Provide technical expertise in systems, technical infrastructure, modeling, external interfaces, and other technical areas.
- Define and implement operations strategy aimed at efficiency & structure hybrid support model.
- Analyze the performance of support functions with Operations and make recommendations for improvement.
- Manage teams to support and maintain all aspects of AstraZeneca’s Infrastructures and End User functions.
- Develop efficient ways of working to support the business through automation and self-service.
- Develop and retain multi-skilled talent, inspire and motivate employees daily.
- Ensure compliance with global standards in line with industry best practices.
- Work closely with vendors to ensure their products and services support the respective technology strategy.
- Foster an environment where innovation can flourish and champion a culturally diverse team.
- Actively contribute to technical communities and communicate with strategic teams frequently.
- Plan activities associated with implementation and maintenance of infrastructure solutions & End User services.
- Prepare status reports and keep management informed of project status and related issues.
- Develop performance metrics and measurement techniques for network-related services.
- Be ready to take on additional initiatives and responsibilities as they emerge.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Technical or Business Degree or proven relevant experience
- Proven track record in people management and exhibited leadership
- Proven skills and experience managing and controlling large projects and programs
- Experience managing and leading large world-class global teams
- Evidence of shaping innovative solutions that have a major impact within the business area and organization
- Experience managing in a global organization where stakeholders and team members are geographically dispersed
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements in Life Sciences & experience working within a quality and compliance environment
- Service Delivery / Management experience in a complex / large-scale internal and external environment
- Strong and influential relationship management skills with stakeholders, suppliers, colleagues, and users
- Applied use of ITIL Framework to deliver process improvement with V3 Foundation as a minimum
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Master’s degree
- Engineering certification
- ITIL certification
- ITIL Managing Across the Lifecycle
- Project / Programme Management certifications
- Sysops, Cloud, Virtualisation, Database, Backup & Storage & hyperconverged technical expertise
- Experience in Network technologies
