Job Purpose
The Department of Infrastructure, Western Cape Government has opportunities for two (2) competent individuals to provide a secretarial and administrative support service to the component.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification); A minimum of 6 months relevant experience.

Key Performance Areas
Perform general administrative support; Secretarial duties; Handle enquiries and correspondence; Provide support to the senior manager with his executive obligations.
Competencies
A good understanding of protocol and working procedures of working environment; Skills in the following: Written and verbal communication; Proven computer literacy in MS Office; Telephone etiquette; Interpersonal relations; Planning and organising; Ability to operate a computer; Ability to operate a fax machine.
Remuneration
R 228 321– R 268 950 per annum (Salary level 5)
Note on remuneration in addition to service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
Notes
Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit documentation for verification purposes and criminal record vetting. These candidates will be required to complete a practical assessment and attend interviews on a date and time determined by the department and may also be required to undergo competency assessments/proficiency tests. The selection process will be guided by the EE targets of the employing department.
