Senior Architect

Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership & Design Management:

Lead the architectural design process for assigned real estate development projects, from initial concept development to construction drawings.

Manage a team of junior architects and draftspersons, providing mentorship and guidance.

Collaborate effectively with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the seamless integration of architectural design with other project disciplines.

Ensure all design solutions comply with relevant building codes, zoning regulations, and sustainability principles.

Design Expertise & Creativity:

Develop innovative and functional architectural designs that meet project requirements, client objectives, and budget constraints.

Utilize advanced design software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD) to create high-quality architectural drawings, 3D models, and presentations.

Stay abreast of current architectural trends, sustainable design principles, and new construction technologies.

Construction Documentation & Administration:

Prepare comprehensive construction drawings, specifications, and other design documentation for tendering and construction purposes.

Participate in construction site visits and address any design-related issues that arise during construction.

Oversee the quality and accuracy of architectural details throughout the construction process.

Communication & Collaboration:

Communicate design concepts clearly and concisely to clients, project managers, engineers, and contractors.

Participate in client meetings and presentations to effectively represent the architectural vision for the project.

Desired Skills & Experience:

Minimum 15 years of experience as a licensed architect with a proven track record in real estate construction.

Bachelor's degree in Architecture and professional registration with the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON) is mandatory.

Master's degree in Architecture (highly desirable).

Strong understanding of local building codes, zoning regulations, and sustainability principles.

In-depth knowledge of architectural design software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD).

Excellent design skills, creativity, and a strong eye for detail.

Proven ability to lead and manage projects effectively.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
