Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and motivated OT Security Intern with foundational knowledge in Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and SCADA environments, and ideally with exposure to OT cybersecurity. This internship is a hands-on opportunity to support live client environments and gain deep insights into securing industrial systems in real-world scenarios.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the monitoring and analysis of OT network traffic and system logs.

Support vulnerability assessments and security audits of ICS/SCADA environments.

Work with senior OT security engineers on the deployment of security tools (e.g., firewalls, anomaly detection systems).

Research and document threats and vulnerabilities specific to OT/ICS environments.

Contribute to client reporting and recommendations with a focus on ICS/SCADA cybersecurity posture.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education & Experience

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred: Prior experience in OT security through academic projects, CTFs, research, or previous internships.

Familiarity with security best practices, incident response and network security concepts.

Familiarity with industrial environments such as energy, utilities, manufacturing, or oil & gas is a plus.

Technical Skills

Demonstrable knowledge of SCADA/ICS protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3, OPC, IEC 60870-5-104, IEC 61850).

Strong interest in OT/ICS cybersecurity and willingness to work in mission-critical infrastructure environments.

Mandatory: Ability to provide supporting documents (e.g., academic projects, research papers, internship letters, GitHub repos) that demonstrate your knowledge and/or experience in OT/ICS.

Soft Skills:

Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

Able to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Good communication skills, both written and verbal to explain technical issues.

Able to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
