Job Description
Maintain accurate records of stock levels, incoming supplies, and outgoing items.
Conduct regular stock checks and reconciliations to prevent shortages or excesses.
Update inventory records in the system to ensure data accuracy.
Ensure proper labeling and tracking of all stock items
Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming goods against purchase orders and invoices.
Store perishable and non-perishable items according to food safety standards.
Organize stockrooms and storage areas for easy access and efficiency.
Monitor expiration dates and implement FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory management.
Work closely with kitchen staff to understand stock needs and prevent shortages.
Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Report low stock levels and request restocking when necessary.
Handle returns, damaged goods, or supplier discrepancies professionally.
Ensure all food items are stored under hygienic conditions and per regulatory standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas.
Adhere to health and safety guidelines to prevent contamination and spoilage.
Ensure compliance with company policies on stock handling and record-keeping.
Maintain and update stock reports daily, weekly, and monthly.
Document stock usage trends and suggest improvements for cost control.
Prepare reports for management on inventory status and order requirements.
Assist in conducting periodic audits to verify stock accuracy.
