Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate activities for youth ages 3-17, including games, sports, arts and crafts, and educational programs
Supervise and monitor youth activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants
Build positive relationships with youth and their families, providing emotional support and guidance as needed
Collaborate with other youth counselors and crew members to plan and execute ship-wide events and activities
Maintain accurate records of youth participation and behavior, and report any concerns to the Youth Program Manager
Ensure compliance with all safety and security protocols, as well as company policies and procedures
Attend mandatory training sessions and meetings to stay updated on company policies, procedures, and best practices
Assist with the organization and setup of youth program areas and supplies
Act as a role model for youth, promoting positive values and behavior at all times
Maintain a clean and organized youth program area, following all sanitation and hygiene guidelines
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in counseling, social work, education, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with youth, preferably in a camp, school, or recreational setting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with youth and their families
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
CPR and First Aid certification preferred
Must pass a background check and drug test
