About the internship Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include: 1. Teaching English and life skills, as well as basic science concepts, to high school students. 2. Reporting the progress of the program to the program manager. 3. Providing documentation support (storing photos and videos as proof). 4. Adapting activities to suit the student's level. Who can apply Only those candidates can apply who: 1. are available for full time (in-office) internship 2. can start the internship between 12th Jun'24 and 17th Jul'24 3. are available for duration of 6 months 4. have relevant skills and interests * Women wanting to start/restart their career can also apply. Ignis Careers is a social enterprise that develops English and life skills capacities through its programs for children from low-income and underprivileged communities. Ignis has collaborated with private organizations and governments to deliver customized, purposeful learning programs designed for maximum impact. Through the Rural Teacher Fellowship Program, Ignis has developed and implemented a culturally relevant, age- and level-appropriate, context-based curriculum. The programs have resulted in improved skills, reduced attrition, and a gradual change in the mindset of underserved communities toward education. Ignis Careers has partnered with various funding and development organizations such as HT Parekh Foundation, Andhra Pradesh State Skills Development Corporation, United Way of Delhi, United Way of Hyderabad, Naandi Foundation, and Voice4Girls to deliver a purposeful learning curriculum to students from deprived and vulnerable communities.
