Job description Summer Internship Opportunity (Unpaid) – Bioinformatics & Life Sciences We are offering unpaid summer internships for MSc/MTech students in Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, or other Life Sciences disciplines. The internship will run for 3 to 6 months, starting in April 2025. About the Internship This internship provides hands-on experience in cutting-edge research areas, including: • Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) Data Analysis • Genomics & Transcriptomics • Structural Bioinformatics • Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI/ML) in Bioinformatics • Molecular Phylogenetics Interns will work on real-world bioinformatics projects, gaining exposure to computational tools and techniques that are highly valuable in both academia and industry. Responsibilities • Perform NGS data analysis for genomic and transcriptomic studies. • Analyze and interpret genomics and transcriptomics datasets. • Develop and optimize bioinformatics pipelines for variant calling, gene expression analysis, and functional annotation. • Apply machine learning techniques to biological data for predictive modeling. • Work on molecular phylogenetics to study evolutionary relationships. • Assist in structural bioinformatics projects, including protein modeling and docking. Qualifications • MSc/MTech in Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, or related Life Sciences fields. • Basic knowledge of NGS, genomics, transcriptomics, molecular modeling, or computational biology is preferred. • Experience with Python, R, or other bioinformatics tools is a plus. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
