About the internship Internship opportunity: drilling and blasting module development We are looking for talented interns to develop a cutting-edge drilling and blasting module for our mining analytics platform. Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include: 1. Drill hole placement: Develop algorithms for optimal drill hole locations using geological data. 2. Charge distribution: Design tools for efficient explosive distribution in drill holes. 3. Stemming calculations: Implement calculations for stemming material to enhance blast performance. 4. 3D visualization & blast design: Create interactive 3D tools to visualize drill hole patterns, blast parameters, and fragmentation predictions. 5. AI/ML integration: Implement AI/ML for pre- and post-blast fragmentation predictions, adaptive learning, and optimization. 6. Safety & vibration control: Develop models for blast vibration prediction and flyrock trajectory analysis to ensure safety. You will work on real-world testing and documentation, and deliver high-impact tools that enhance mining efficiency and safety.
