About the internship Key Responsibilities: 1. Test Planning and Design Analyze requirements, user stories, and specifications to design test cases and test scenarios. Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. Identify areas where automation might be appropriate for future development 2. Manual Testing Execution: Execute test cases and document results to validate software functionality. Perform functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing to ensure quality across releases. Detect, report, and track defects, issues, and inconsistencies found in applications. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the development team to reproduce, analyze, and resolve issues. Provide feedback to enhance the user experience and overall software quality. Document testing processes and results and create reports for project stakeholders. Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement: Adhere to best practices in software testing and recommend improvements where necessary. Participate in test review sessions and provide constructive feedback. Stay updated on new testing tools, techniques, and industry best practices. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing lifecycle (STLC). Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus. Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Strong attention to detail with an ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. Proficiency in defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla, or similar). 3. Basic knowledge of SQL and scripting (optional but a plus).
