About the internship Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include: 1. Train and test object detection and classification models for urban infrastructure, including roads, pavements, cleanliness, and parking. 2. Evaluate model performance using various metrics (accuracy, precision, recall, etc.) and optimize models for efficiency and deployment on edge devices. 3. Research and explore small, efficient Vision-Language Models (VLMs) suitable for deployment on edge devices. 4. Fine-tune pre-trained VLMs on domain-specific datasets, focusing on urban infrastructure analysis to enhance performance and meet specific requirements. 5. Fine-tune and deploy Vision-Language Models (VLMs) on local or edge devices with limited computational resources. 6. Maintain detailed documentation of experiments, models, and results to effectively communicate findings with the team. 7. Present research findings and model performance to internal stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and transparency.
