Key Responsibilities • Legal Research & Analysis: • Assist in researching legal issues, regulatory updates, and compliance requirements impacting startups and venture investments. • Document Drafting & Review: • Support the drafting, reviewing, and negotiating of contracts, agreements, MoUs, and other legal documents essential to startup funding deals and corporate transactions. • Due Diligence: • Contribute to legal due diligence processes for prospective investments, including risk assessments and regulatory compliance reviews tailored for the startup ecosystem. • Startup Funding Support: • Assist the legal team in preparing and reviewing documentation for venture capital transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures, ensuring all legal aspects are meticulously addressed. • Compliance & Regulatory Assistance: • Aid in ensuring adherence to relevant corporate, financial, and investment regulations, and support the preparation of compliance reports and legal notices to regulatory authorities. • Intellectual Property Initiatives: • Help monitor and support the protection of intellectual property rights, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents, for our portfolio companies. • Administrative & Collaborative Tasks: • Maintain proper documentation of legal matters and collaborate with internal teams and external legal counsel to streamline legal processes and corporate governance tasks. Qualifications & Skills • Education: • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law (LLB/LLM) from a recognized institution. • Interest & Knowledge: • Keen interest in corporate law, venture capital, startup funding, and legal compliance. Coursework or exposure to these areas is a plus. • Research & Communication: • Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with strong written and verbal communication abilities in English. • Attention to Detail: • A meticulous approach to handling legal documentation and conducting due diligence processes. • Multitasking & Initiative: • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, with a proactive and detail-oriented mindset.
