About the job Job Title: Mechanical Engineer - CAD Modeling & Operations Nebula Robotics is a fast-growing robotics company specializing in Industrial Robotic automation. We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer with expertise in CAD modeling and operations to design and develop mechanical components for robotic systems. The ideal candidate should have strong proficiency in CAD tools and a good understanding of manufacturing processes. Key responsibilities: 1. Design, develop, and optimize mechanical components and systems for robotic automation. 2. Create 3D models, 2D drawings, and detailed BOMs using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar). 3. Collaborate with the electrical and controls team to ensure seamless integration of mechanical and automation systems. 4. Work closely with vendors and suppliers for prototyping and manufacturing feasibility. 5. Perform stress analysis, material selection, and manufacturability reviews. 6. Assist in the assembly, testing, and commissioning of robotic systems. 7. Troubleshoot and improve existing designs based on feedback from field operations. 8. Maintain documentation and adhere to industry standards and best practices. Qualifications & requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 1-5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in automation, robotics, or industrial machinery. Strong proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or other CAD software. Hands-on experience with welding, fabrication, and machining processes. Knowledge of GD&T, and material selection. Understanding of pneumatics, PLC, and motion systems is a plus. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
