About the internship Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include: 1. Design development: Create innovative and practical design concepts for interior spaces, including layout plans, color schemes, furniture selection, and material specifications. 2. Client consultation: Meet with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget constraints. Provide expert advice and present design proposals. 3. Project management: Oversee the entire design process from conception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders. 4. Technical documentation: Prepare detailed drawings, blueprints, and 3D models using design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Revet). Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes and standards. 5. Material selection: Source and select appropriate materials, furnishings, and accessories. Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best prices and quality. 6. Site visits: Conduct site visits to monitor progress, inspect workmanship, and ensure design specifications are being followed. 7. Trend analysis: Stay updated on the latest design trends, techniques, and technologies. Incorporate innovative ideas into design projects. 8. Team collaboration: Work closely with other designers, architects, and project managers. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers as needed.
