About the internship Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include: 1. Identifying farmers to participate in carbon credit projects developed by IMPCA, which involve planting trees either on farm bunds or as block plantations on uncultivated/unfarmable land. 2. Verifying land details through government portals, Gram Panchayat offices, and other sources to confirm land ownership. 3. Educating farmers about project guidelines and securing their consent to allocate carbon rights of the trees. 4. Organizing small and large-scale meetings to raise awareness about tree maintenance, regular monitoring, and the broader impact of climate change. 5. Monitoring project implementation, including GPS mapping of farmlands, nursery work, transportation, and other related activities assigned by IMPCA project managers.
