About the internship Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include: 1. Emerging Markets Research: - Conduct thorough market research and analysis on financial inclusion trends, competitors, and regulatory landscapes in Kenya and East Africa where we want to initiate our expansion. - Develop actionable insights and strategic recommendations to inform Kaleidofin's market entry and expansion plans. 2. Debt Capital Markets: - Bond Issuances: Assist in gathering data and preparing reports related to bond issuances, learning about market trends and transaction processes. - Market Research: Conduct research on centralized bond markets and emerging financing techniques to support strategic decision-making. - Structured Finance Learning: Assist senior team members with developing financial models, gaining exposure to structured finance transactions 3. Align with Ki Credit Platform: - Support senior managers in integrating selected originators into the Ki Credit debt capital markets platform. - Assist in preparing materials and demonstrations of the platform's capabilities for potential clients. 4. Strategic Project Management: - Collaborate with the Founders' Office on mission-critical projects, including market expansion, and partnership evaluation. - Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and models that will be presented to internal and external stakeholders. 5. Cross-functional Coordination: - Work with teams across product, finance, and business development to ensure smooth execution of strategic initiatives. - Monitor and report on key project milestones, risks, and outcomes.
