About the internship We are seeking a highly motivated Data Science Intern to join our team. This internship will provide a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with real-world data science projects, guided by experienced professionals in the field. You will have the chance to work on [industry/sector]-specific challenges, leverage data to solve business problems, and contribute to impactful solutions. Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include: 1. Data analysis and visualization: Use Power BI to design and develop insightful dashboards and reports. Create data models and relationships, employ DAX, and utilize Power Query to support business needs. Develop visualizations in Python using libraries like Matplotlib, Seaborn, and Plotly. 2. Data wrangling and processing: Manipulate and clean datasets using advanced Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and Pivot Tables). Work with Python libraries (e.g., Pandas) for data wrangling and transformations. 3. Automation and reporting: Automate report generation and data workflows using Python and VBA (if applicable). Publish and share reports and dashboards for team access and insights. 4. Statistical and machine learning analysis: Perform statistical analysis and apply machine learning algorithms for data insights. Work with frameworks like Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch under the guidance of experienced mentors. 5. Collaborative project work: Participate in team discussions, bring data-driven insights, and contribute to problem-solving for project management. 6. Soft skills development: Develop and utilize skills like attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving within a collaborative environment.
