Skills: Technical skills, commercial acumen, leadership and management, project management, communication skills, problem-solving and analytical thinking

1. Technical Expertise and Product Development

• Process Optimization: They also play a role in optimizing production processes, ensuring that the products are manufacturable at scale while maintaining quality and reducing costs.

• Product Testing & Compliance: Ensuring that the new product complies with safety, regulatory, and environmental standards is critical. The techno commercial team works with legal and compliance teams to navigate these requirements.

2. Market Research and Analysis

• Customer Interaction: Engaging with customers, both existing and potential, helps in gathering feedback to fine-tune product offerings. They also act as a liaison between the R&D and marketing/sales teams to align product development with customer demands.

• Pricing Strategy: Based on the production cost and market demand, they help set a competitive yet profitable price for the new product.

7. Cross-Functional Communication and Collaboration

• Bridging the Gap: The techno commercial professional often acts as a bridge between technical teams (chemists, engineers) and non-technical teams (sales, marketing, finance). Clear communication is crucial for successful product development.
