CollegeGyan is on a mission to simplify the higher education journey for students across India. We’re building an intelligent platform that helps students explore, compare, and select the right college or course – with clarity, transparency, and personalized guidance. Compensation: Equity-based (Co-founder level)

Role Overview

As the Tech Co-Founder, you will be the technical visionary and lead for CollegeGyan. You will:

• Architect & Build: Design and develop the platform’s core infrastructure, including college comparison tools, user dashboards, and AI-driven recommendation engines.

• Lead & Scale: Build and lead the engineering team. Ensure the platform is scalable, secure, and optimized for a growing student base.

• Innovate: Use data, automation, and smart tools to enhance student experience and backend efficiency.

• Collaborate: Work hand-in-hand with the founding team to align product, design, and growth goals.

• Own & Deliver: Take full ownership of the tech roadmap—from MVP to full-scale product.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full-stack product development (web/app)

• Design backend systems to handle college data, rankings, and student activity

• Build features like advanced search, smart filters, personalized college suggestions, and community tools

• Integrate chat-based support, analytics tools, and feedback systems

• Ensure platform reliability, data security, and performance

• Set up DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and manage cloud infrastructure

• Drive the tech vision and culture from day one

Ideal Candidate

• Strong background in full-stack development (React, Node.js, Python/Django, Flutter, etc.)

• Prior startup or product-building experience preferred

• Exposure to AI/ML tools, chatbots, or recommendation systems is a plus

• Comfortable with cloud services like AWS, Firebase, or GCP

• Excellent communication skills and a passion for solving real-world problems

• A self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments
