Job Purpose
The Department of Cultural Affairs and Sports, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a competent individual to render supply chain management (SCM) clerical services.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification)
Recommendation
A valid (Code B or higher) driving licence.

Key Performance Areas
Perform clerical tasks in the creation of orders for goods and services; Render clerical actitivites in the processing of payments; Monitor, analyse and determine actions to ensure proper contract administration; Update and maintain SCM registers; Provide support to line function.
Competencies
A good understanding of the following: Supply Chain Management; Policy development; Financial norms and standards (Public Finance Management Act-PFMA; National Treasury regulations (NTR's), Provincial Treasury Directives/Instructions-PTI's); General Conditions of the Contract; Contract Management Guidelines; Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act and PPPFA Regulations. BEE; Procurement activities; Procurement policies/procedures/contract management; Document management Enterprise Content Management (ECM), inclusive of registry services and policy and procedures governing these functions.
Skills needed: Report writing; Written and verbal communication.
Remuneration
R 228 321- R 268 950 per annum (Salary Level 5)
Note on remuneration in addition service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
Notes
Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit documentation for verification purposes and criminal record vetting.
