2. PRINCIPAL CRITICAL ISSUES IN THE ORGANISATION
Context and challenges:
- The key challenge is ensuring we clarify the go to market strategy of the supplier.
- Critical challenge and context are to ensure that new supplier engagements adhere to Group requirements of:
- Payment terms
- Undertaking on first shipments
- CPT incoterms 2020
- MOQs are well understood with clarity around adherence to LK stocking level needs
- Responsibility for promotional activity and spend between the parties
- Ensuring the first order quantities projected are protected in nature for LBX
- Conducting business in an ethical manner.
Main interfaces:
- External
- Engaging Customers on regular basis to obtain feedback on products potential performance and when required to solve specific matters
- Suppliers:
- HQ for approvals
- Internal
- Sales & Commercial manager, on a weekly basis in terms of performance.
- HQ business development team on a proactive basis
- Other internal departmental stakeholders as appropriate such as supply chain and finance
3. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTED RESULTS
Responsibilities (KPAs):
- Communication
- Revert to all communications in a timely manner, to internal and external stakeholders
- Timelines to be respected
- Adhere to agreed timelines for formulation of business case, drafting of the slide deck to review both the business case and the go to market strategy for the supplier
- Market Development
- Select potential products from new suppliers based on well-founded market potential information, general sources, IQVIA, LAG or PBI, desktop research
- Conduct Market surveys and make recommendations for new product launches where appropriate
- Draft full business case and go-to-market strategy in conjunction with internal and external stakeholders
- Design and implement new product launch plans in conjunction with the supplier and Marketing director
- Track and manage using excel Gantt or related methodology first order and deployment into the business and handover to commercial team once products are at LBX and sales have commenced
- Compliance and Pharmacovigilance
- Receive/collate Pharmacovigilance information and provide feedback to the Sales & Commercial Manager and Company Pharmacist as and when it’s received.
- And performs any other duties as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
4. LEVEL OF AUTHORITY
- This role is required to assist and contribute to the development of the respective budget
- Within the defined and approved supplier budget, the role is required to spend accordingly.
5. KEY DIMENSIONS (FINANCIAL AND UNIT MEASURES)
The role is measured on the following dimensions:
-Number of new suppliers identified and their business cases closed
-Professionalism and quality of submitted business case and forecasts to business and Paris office
- Seamless introduction from business case closure to onboarding of supplier and sales commenced New Turnover from new business
6. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum academic requirement is a first degree
- Sciences/Arts
- MBA would be beneficial
- Experience in sales, business development will be viewed as beneficial
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry at least 5 years
- Advanced user in excel, word and all Microsoft office suite is a mandatory requirement
