Sr. Manager/Manager- NPD (Electronics)

We are currently seeking a Sr. Manager/Manager- NPD (Electronics) with experience in component/Prototype Development for Batteries, Power Electronics, Body Control Units, Wiring harness and whole vehicle to join our R&D team at Ahmedabad.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build & Commissioning of various products such as Batteries, Power Electronics, Body Control Units, Wiring harness and whole vehicle – more specifically on Electric Two Wheelers.

• Oversee the design, testing, and iteration of electronic prototypes – More specifically box builds & Battery pack, ensuring they meet design specifications and performance criteria.

• Overseeing all aspects of electronic prototype development, from concept to completion, to support innovation and product design.

• Build prototype facilities and support Technology teams in realizing early technology prototypes.

• Ensure prototypes are tested under relevant conditions and meet industry standards for safety, reliability, and performance.

• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of engineers and technicians to design, develop, and test electronic prototypes.

• Define clear project milestones, timelines, and deliverables, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

• Ensure all prototypes meet the required regulatory and industry standards.

• Oversee the documentation of prototypes, including design schematics, test plans, results, and failure analysis.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Expertise in prototyping, build, and commissioning of Electrical & Electronics systems, including components like BCU, BMS, Power Electronics, LV Electrical Systems, and more.

• Hands-on experience with Electric Two-Wheeler systems, wiring harnesses, and limited production prototypes.

• Good knowledge in Electric Vehicle systems and Two-wheeler Electrical systems - Electrical, Electronics Architectures, Standards and Regulatory requirements.

• Good understanding of motorcycle Electrical & Electronics layout.

• Experience with CAD software, simulation tools, and prototyping techniques (e.g., PCB design, 3D printing, etc.)

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 9-15 Years of experience.
