Sewerage & Drainage Designer

Position: Sewerage & Drainage Designer Location: West Bengal, India Job Overview: We are looking for an experienced Sewerage & Drainage Designer with 5-8 years of expertise in designing sewerage and drainage networks. The ideal candidate must have a Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Civil Engineering or a related field and be well-versed in SewerGEMS, GIS software, and network design methodologies. Key Responsibilities: • Sewerage & Drainage Network Design: Develop and optimize sewerage and drainage systems based on project requirements and regulatory guidelines. • Software Utilization: Use Sewer GEMS, GIS software, and AutoCAD Civil 3D to create accurate designs and simulations. • Hydraulic & Hydrological Analysis: Conduct flow analysis, capacity assessments, and hydraulic modelling for sewerage and drainage systems. • GIS-Based Mapping & Planning: Utilize GIS tools for spatial analysis, utility mapping, and integration with design plans. • Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed drawings, reports, and specifications for drainage and sewerage infrastructure projects. • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure designs meet local and international standards for water and wastewater management. • Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with civil engineers, surveyors, and project managers to ensure smooth project execution. Requirements: Education: Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant field. Experience: 5-10 years of experience in sewerage and drainage network design. Technical Skills: • Proficiency in SewerGEMS, GIS software, and AutoCAD Civil 3D. • Strong knowledge of hydraulic modelling and urban drainage systems. • Experience in stormwater management and wastewater treatment infrastructure is a plus. • Analytical & Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze data, troubleshoot design challenges, and propose cost-effective solutions. • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with municipal and infrastructure regulations for drainage and sewerage projects. • Communication Skills: Ability to prepare technical reports and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
