
Senior Construction Manager (Site Mgr)

Job Description
Major Responsibilities:
• Assist the Site Construction Teams in the implementation and maintenance of various field engineering and construction programs, including automation tools.
• Maintain project document control and ensure all work activities are executed using the latest versions of relevant documents.
• Work with the site teams to develop detailed, integrated installation plans for complex, cross discipline installations.
• Work with site teams to ensure that quantities are reported, verified and submitted for all commodities each week.
• Assist with the development and implementation of Inspection and Test Plans (ITP’s).
• Ensure that all project quality requirements are appreciated and held to.
• Liaise with the design engineering group and provide support to resolve design and constructability issues on a “case by case’ basis as requested.
• Support the development the technical sections of field subcontracts.
• Support the development of construction progress reports and quantity forecasts.
• Support the development of system/area turnover program.
• Engage regularly with site teams, automation, engineering and procurement team members to track and resolve program action items.
• Proactively considers continuous learning or show interest to pursue appropriate learning activities for self and site teams.
Education and Experience Requirements:
• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and/or 12 years of relevant experience.
• 10 years of equivalent industry experience with at least 4 years in a supervisory role.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
• Construction experience on LNG and Refinery projects.
• Construction experience on Greenfield and Brownfield projects.
• Familiarity with Bechtel Standard Applications (BSAPs) including Unifier, Aconex, DSCS, UPV, TEAMWorks, SmartCompletions, which are used on Bechtel projects.
• Familiarity of Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) and IWP development.
• Understanding of Level 4 schedule development.
• Direct Hire and Subcontractor Experience, cost-re, unit-rate or lump-sum environment.
• Understanding of applicable Bechtel work processes including Standard Work Process Procedures is preferred.
• Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
• Excellent communication, presentation and problem-solving ability.
• Knowledge and understanding of interfaces for design engineering, procurement, and construction.
• Experience in the formation and administration of construction subcontracts.
• Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
