Position : Sales Account Manager - Nairobi
George Houston Resources is looking to hire a qualified professional for the role of Sales Account Manager for our client, a leading provider of information technology solutions and systems integration. Specializing in digital transformation (DX) consulting, business insights, and productivity solutions, our client offers a wide range of services, including private, public, and hybrid multi-cloud solutions, mobility and infrastructure services, bespoke offerings, and comprehensive cyber and IT security solutions. They cater to a diverse clientele across sectors such as Banking and Financial Services, Telecommunications, Oil & Gas, FMCGs, and the public sector, based in their Nairobi, Kenya office.
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Account Manager to join our Kenya office. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and growing key customer accounts, developing new business opportunities, and achieving sales targets.
This role requires a strong understanding of the market, excellent relationship management skills, and the ability to drive revenue growth.
Responsibilities:
Manage and develop relationships with existing clients to maximize business opportunities.
Identify and acquire new customers to expand the company’s market share.
Achieve or exceed assigned sales targets and KPIs.
Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive revenue growth.
Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to penetrate target markets.
Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
Collaborate with marketing and product teams to tailor solutions for customers.
Act as the primary point of contact for key customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Understand client requirements and provide tailored solutions to meet their needs.
Negotiate contracts and pricing to maximize profitability while maintaining strong client relationships.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline management using CRM tools.
Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback.
Provide insights and recommendations to improve sales strategies.
Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, operations, and customer support, to ensure seamless service delivery.

Qualification /Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, Marketing, or related fields (Master’s degree is an advantage).
3-5 years of experience in sales, account management, or business development.
2+ years of proven success selling Enterprise IT Security, Cloud, Infrastructure & Mobility Solutions in Kenya.
Strong negotiation, communication, and client relationship management skills.
Experience using CRM software and Microsoft Office tools.
Willingness to travel within Kenya and the region as required.
Fluency in English (Swahili is an advantage).
