Duties & Responsibilities ✅ Financial Recordkeeping & Data Entry: Maintain accurate records in the general ledger. Process accounts payable/receivable transactions. Ensure accurate data entry for sales, purchases, and expenses. ✅ Reconciliation: Perform regular bank and account reconciliations. Ensure transactions align with supporting documents. ✅ Financial Reporting & Analysis: Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Conduct variance analysis and prepare internal reports. ✅ Tax Compliance & Support: Support tax return preparation (corporate tax, VAT, etc.). Maintain tax documentation for audits and filings. ✅ Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in budget preparation and expense monitoring. Support financial forecasting and performance projections. ✅ Audit Assistance: Prepare financial documents for audits. Help ensure internal controls and compliance with accounting standards. ✅ Administrative Duties: Maintain organised financial records and documentation. Handle correspondence with vendors, clients, and internal teams. ✅ Support for Senior Accountants: Assist senior staff with complex tasks and financial operations. Desired Experience & Qualification Completed accounting articles (SAIPA/SAICA/CIMA). Strong Excel skills — VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and advanced functions. Data analysis, reporting, and financial modelling. Minimum 5 years of accounting experience. Attention to Detail: Accuracy in financial data is essential. Time Management: Ability to balance multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong Communication Skills: Collaborate with teams and external stakeholders. Technical Proficiency: Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) and advanced Excel skills. Analytical Mindset: Ability to interpret financial data and spot discrepancies.
