Job description Job description Job Title: Research Interns (2 openings) Position 1: Second Shift – from 3PM to 11PM Position 2: First Shift – from 7AM to 4PM Location: IIT Madras Research Park, Chennai Duration: 6 months Stipend: 5k/month – per position About Floaid Floaid is a pioneering medical technology start-up developing state-of-the-art medical devices. We are focused on revolutionizing cardiac care with cutting-edge engineering and biomedical innovations. Role Overview We are looking for highly motivated Research Interns to work on our breakthrough medical device projects. This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute to the design, development, and testing of life-saving medical technologies. Inviting applicants who can join the team immediately and who can come in for in person interviews. Key Responsibilities • Assist in prototyping, and testing novel medical components. • Perform literature reviews, compile technical reports and maintain documentation. • Work closely with engineers, clinicians, and regulatory teams to optimize product performance. • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas. Required Qualifications • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields. • Strong communication skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced R&D environment with a start-up mindset.
