About the internship Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include: 1. Research corporate houses in India that have a strong DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) policy and actively implement it. 2. Research non-profits and social enterprises working in the space of skilling and vocational training for neurodivergent young adults. 3. Research organizations providing employment opportunities or pathways for neurodivergent young adults through livelihood options. 4. Investigate Government of India (GoI) initiatives that support neurodivergent individuals and their families through schemes and other support mechanisms. 5. Document the findings from the above research methodically and create a structured presentation for the program team at Sankalp. Who can apply Only those candidates can apply who: 1. are available for the part time job/internship 2. can start the part time job/internship between 23rd Jan'25 and 27th Feb'25 3. are available for duration of 2 months 4. are from or open to relocate to Chennai and neighboring cities 5. have relevant skills and interests * Women wanting to start/restart their career can also apply. Sankalp is a not-for-profit organization established in 1999, dedicated to empowering the lives of children and young adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), specific learning disabilities (SLD), and intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). We provide individualized, hands-on learning and holistic programs that enable our students to become proud, participatory stakeholders in society. 'Beyond Prayaas' is a livelihood initiative being piloted for neurodivergent young adults.
