Job Description
The QC Officer is responsible for conducting routine testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished pharmaceutical products to ensure they meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. The role involves maintaining proper documentation, adhering to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and assisting in investigations and validations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform chemical and physical analysis of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products as per approved specifications and SOPs.
• Operate and calibrate laboratory instruments like HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FTIR, Dissolution Apparatus, pH Meter, etc.
• Document test results accurately in compliance with GDP (Good Documentation Practices).
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, GLP, and regulatory requirements during laboratory operations.
• Assist in method development and method validation studies.
• Conduct stability studies and compile related documentation.
• Support investigations related to OOS (Out of Specification), OOT (Out of Trend), and deviations.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness, inventory, and safety protocols.
• Participate in internal audits and support regulatory inspections.
Qualifications and Skills:
• B.Pharm / M.Pharm / B.Sc / M.Sc in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical QC laboratory (freshers may also apply depending on company).
• Knowledge of pharmacopeias (USP, BP, IP, etc.) and regulatory guidelines.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory instruments and analytical techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
