Product Development Engineer (Mechanical)

About the job Key Responsibilities: 1. Employees will be required to contribute to the design and development of existing and new products. 2. Responsible for the mechanical design of components/assemblies and machines. 3. Perform research on new technologies to improve the quality of products. 4. Assist in the development of prototypes. 5. Work with cross-functional teams including sales, production, and service. 6. Ensure machinery is up to specifications and follows safety standards. 7. Maintain documentation as and when required. 8. Responsible for definition and coordination with purchase for material procurement. 8. Coordinating with the sales team based on inquiries for accurate product configuration and required information. 10. Demonstrate a complete understanding of manufacturing processes and planning. 11. Solving problems on the shop floor by working closely with production teams involved in fabrication, machining, assembly, and testing areas. Skill(s) required Effective Communication Mechanical & Electrical Product Design MS-Excel MS-Word Problem Solving SolidWorks Earn certifications in these skills SolidWorks Learn MS-Excel Other requirements 1. B. E./B. tech in mechanical engineering. 2. Experience as part of Baja, FSAE, Robocon, etc. teams. 3. Experience designing complex electro-mechanical assemblies with engineering principles. 4. Must be familiar with a variety of mechanical and pneumatic systems and their components. 5. Proven track record of developing and launching products from concept to production and release. 6. Proficient in SolidWorks and able to prepare 3D layouts & 2D drawings. 7. Design of machined components including secondary processing (heat treatments, surface finishes) with knowledge of manufacturing processes. 8. Basic manufacturing processes of mechanical assemblies.
