Full job description Today S Procurement, Administration, and Logistics (PAL) Intern Search for Common Ground Rest of Nigeria (Nationwide) Confidential Minimum Qualification : Job Description/Requirements Position Title : Procurement, Administration, and Logistics Intern Department: Procurement, Admin and Logistics Location: Minna, Niger state Duration: 6 months Reporting to : PAL Coordinator Start Date: 17th of April, 2025 End Date : 17th of October, 2025. Background Search For Common Ground is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to support the Procurement, Administration, and Logistics (PAL) department. The PAL Intern will assist in the efficient operation of the department by providing administrative, procurement, and logistical support. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of operations, procurement, and logistics within a dynamic and mission-driven organization. Objectives of the Internship To provide support to the PAL department in managing day-to-day procurement, administrative, and logistical tasks. To develop practical skills in procurement processes, logistical planning, and administrative coordination. To contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization’s operations through effective support to the PAL team. Key Responsibilities The PAL Intern will be responsible for the following tasks: Procurement Support Assist in the preparation and processing of procurement requests, including gathering quotations, creating purchase orders, and ensuring proper documentation. Support the vendor selection process by coordinating communication with suppliers and reviewing contracts. Help maintain the procurement filing system and track the status of orders and deliveries. Logistics Support Assist in the coordination of transportation for staff and goods, ensuring timely delivery of materials. Support the inventory management process by assisting with the tracking of stock levels, organizing warehouse space, and ensuring the safe storage of goods. - Assist in the preparation of logistics reports and maintain up-to-date records. Administrative Support Help with office management tasks, including organizing meetings, handling correspondence, and maintaining office supplies. Assist with the preparation of reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Provide general office assistance and support to the team as needed. Compliance And Documentation Ensure that all procurement, logistics, and administrative activities comply with the organization’s policies and procedures. Maintain accurate records and files for audits and compliance reviews. Other Duties Perform other related tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor. Expected Outputs and Deliverables Timely and accurate completion of procurement documentation and processes. Efficient coordination and management of logistics activities, including transportation and inventory management. Well-organized administrative support that contributes to smooth operations of the office. Regular reports on procurement and logistics activities, highlighting any challenges and areas for improvement. Documenting compliance with organizational policies and standards. Required Qualifications Education: Enrolled in or recently graduated with a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field. Experience: Previous experience in an internship or volunteer role is an advantage but not required. Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Basic knowledge of procurement and logistics practices. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in all tasks. Learning Opportunities Gaining practical experience in procurement, logistics, and administrative management. Supervision and Reporting The PAL Intern will report directly to the PAL Coordinator and will receive guidance, feedback, and support throughout the internship. Regular check-ins and evaluations will take place to assess progress and provide developmental feedback. Terms and Conditions The position is an internship, and as such, compensation may be provided in the form of a stipend or other benefits as per organizational policy. The intern is expected to work 40 hours per week during the internship period. The intern is required to adhere to all organizational policies and codes of conduct.
