Job Description
What You’ll Do In The Role
• Provide functional support to MSIM portfolio managers, traders, and portfolio administrators through Trade Management System (Aladdin).
• Responsible for monitoring trade flows from Aladdin to Middle Offices and Custodians.
• Responsible for Trade Affirmation and Trade Settlement by using DTCC CTM, Alert, Trade Suite
• Work with brokers and custodian banks to resolve unconfirmed trades, trade settlement and reconciliation items.
• Provide required operational support to portfolio managers, traders, and portfolio administrators
• Identify and resolve issues related to transactions in a timely fashion following established guidelines, procedures, and controls
• Provide functional support around corporate action workflows including data consumption, maintain processing standards and management of overall corporate action function
• Responsible for cash and position reconciliation in Aladdin for all designated portfolios
• Retrieve and review cash balances from custodians, escalate cash overdrafts and initiate interest claim against brokers, middle office service providers and custodians on behalf of MSIM and MSIM Clients
• Support all components of Aladdin transaction processing, position, cash and corporate actions for assigned Investment teams and trading teams
• Facilitate accurate and timely delivery of critical business inquires to and from internal clients, internal business colleagues, operational colleagues, and external counterparties.
What You’ll Bring To The Role
• Bachelor's degree or comparable work experience
• Four to Seven years of operations and/or related experience
• Specific knowledge of corporate action is a PLUS
• Knowledge of equity and fixed income securities a MUST
• Knowledge of BRS Aladdin a PLUS
• Knowledge of DTCC CTM and Alert a plus
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving, collaborative and innovative solution-focused thinking skills
• Knowledge of custodian bank operating standards and interoperability with asset management
