Conduct routine inspections and diagnostic tests on trucks, forklifts, and wheel loaders to identify faults and necessary repairs.
Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
Replace worn-out or defective parts and components as needed.
Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
Troubleshoot any of the mechanical/electrical/hydraulic/panel beating issues efficiently to minimize equipment downtime.
Diagnose complex problems using diagnostic tools and manuals.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.
Document parts usage and inventory to ensure adequate stock levels.
Provide detailed reports on equipment condition, maintenance activities, and repair histories.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Comply with company policies and procedures related to equipment operation and maintenance.
Coordinate with other mechanics and technicians to prioritize repairs and maintenance tasks.
Work closely with other departments to address equipment-related issues promptly.
Requirements
Technical certification or diploma in automotive or mechanical engineering.
Trade test (I) /(II)/(III) - Automotive Mechanic/Electrical/Panel Beating.
Knowledge and Skills
Proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.
Attention to detail and ability to follow technical manuals and specifications.
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
Effective communication skills and teamwork abilities
