PHP Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced PHP Lead or PHP Consultant to lead and mentor a team of

developers in delivering high-quality, PHP-based projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PHP development, experience with ecommerce analytics, and a passion for building scalable data solutions. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, engaging with clients to understand their needs, and leading technical aspects of ecommerce data extraction and web crawling initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor a team of developers in PHP-based projects, ensuring high standards of code quality,

adherence to best practices, and the successful delivery of project milestones.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, translate them into clear technical

specifications, and ensure timely and effective implementation.

Conduct regular code reviews, providing constructive feedback and guidance to maintain best practices in

coding, performance, and scalability.

Work directly with clients to understand their business needs, provide regular project updates, and

proactively address any concerns or roadblocks.

Design and set up infrastructure to handle large-scale data extraction from ecommerce platforms, ensuring

efficient and reliable operations.

Train and guide developers on web crawling techniques for both simple and complex data extraction tasks.

Lead the setup and configuration of crawlers for a variety of websites, from simple pages to complex

applications, while addressing challenges such as IP banning, proxy configuration, and ensuring large-scale

data extraction efficiency.

Design and implement robust database solutions (primarily MySQL) for storing and managing large

volumes of data, ensuring scalability and reliability.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 7 years of professional experience in PHP development, with a strong focus on core PHP.

Should have knowledge of MVC/Object-Oriented PHP (v.5+).

Must have skills PHP, Core PHP, Mysql, Curl, AJAX, JSON, Linux/Unix commands.

Demonstrated experience in ecommerce analytics, with an understanding of how critical business metrics

translate to technical solutions and business value.

Proven ability to lead, motivate, and mentor a development team, ensuring effective collaboration and

continuous growth.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex technical

concepts to clients in a clear and approachable manner.

Experience with large-scale data extraction & web crawling.

Understanding of Web scraping using Regular Expressions and XPATH.

Exposure to Artificial Intelligence (AI) learning concepts is a plus.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges, such as website bans and data extraction

roadblocks, with a focus on scalable solutions.

Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and clients, ensuring a shared understanding of project goals and technical solutions.
