What you'll be doing We are looking for a dynamic and proactive People & Culture Intern to support SGII and Joint Ventures in driving both strategic people initiatives and key project management functions. This role will focus on supporting key budget cycles, HR operations, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and driving high-impact projects that contribute to business success. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail. Key Responsibilities HR Data & Compliance: - Create PO codes and launch job requisitions for SGII and JVs - Support the onboarding and transfer and mobility processes, ensuring correct cost center placement, reporting lines, and job titles are updated on the HR systems - Ensure and gatekeep the career levelling of employees, new job title creation, comp and benefits are aligned with group policies - Maintain and audit employee data proactively (e.g., org charts, cost centers, reporting structures). - Regularly update and analyze key HR cycles such as performance reviews, goal setting, and salary reviews, ensuring adherence to group deadlines. - Attend HR Data Analyst community sessions on behalf of SGII & JVs, ensuring best practices are implemented. - Ensure all reports and respective information are well organised and up to date on the teams channels to support the wider team. - Act as a key point of contact for non-technical support on HR platforms such as Power BI, MyChalhoub, Plano, and Drive, ensuring seamless access to insights and reports. - Conduct regular checks on Work-From-Overseas (WFO) and annual leave usage. HR Reporting & Insights: - Play a pivotal role in supporting the annual budget cycle and mid-year budget revision by leading the creation and reporting of HR manpower budgets. Ensure timely submission within group deadlines and seamless integration into the group system. - Provide monthly manpower budget vs. actual budget to VP People, Snr PP, and Finance teams, flagging any discrepancies. - Share hiring and workforce analytics reports with People Team and Senior Leadership to drive data-informed decisions. - Conduct pay parity analysis and provide salary adjustment recommendations. - Deliver a year-end HR Insights Newsletter for senior leadership, leveraging Power BI dashboards. - Monitor and report usage of Talent Development & Employee Engagement budgets, ensuring alignment with forecasts. - Create monthly recruitment report, and ensure "offers made" trackers are updated and tracked against budget. Strategic HR Initiatives: - Ensure progress tracking of key People Strategy metrics, including D&I commitments such as Women in Leadership and National Hiring, as part of transformational HR projects. Project Management & Business Operations Project Planning & Execution: - Supporting Snr Mgr on building workforce planning models for new JVs. - Develop project roadmaps and track milestones for HR-related and cross-functional initiatives. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: - Partner with Group HR and Finance to support reporting and workforce planning, particularly during budget cycles. - Assist in preparing and collecting data for high-impact reports submitted to Senior Leadership and external stakeholders. - Ensure that project updates, risk assessments, and next steps are effectively communicated. Risk Management & Problem Solving: - Identify potential risks early in projects and develop mitigation strategies. - Proactively flag challenges and propose practical solutions. - Adapt to dynamic business needs with a solution-oriented mindset. Process Optimization & Efficiency: - Identify opportunities for process improvements within HR workflows and people partnering activities. - Drive standardization of HR operations through data-driven decision-making. - Maintain timely processing of PO codes, job requisitions, and org chart updates. Performance Tracking & Reporting: - Use data analytics to track project success and measure impact. - Prepare timely reports and dashboards on recruitment, budgets, and key HR cycles.
