About part time job/internship

KaroStartup is a growing digital media platform that covers Indian startups, founder journeys, small business success stories, Bharat entrepreneurship, and bootstrapped brands. With over 5,000 stories published across India, the platform now aims to uncover Jaipur's hidden business gems and bring them to a national audience. This is a non-commercial storytelling initiative where businesses are not charged for publication. The objective is to highlight real entrepreneurs, share authentic business stories from Jaipur, and inspire more individuals to start their own ventures.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Research new and growing businesses in Jaipur through structured market exploration.

2. Identify unique startups and small businesses with inspiring journeys.

3. Conduct background research and prepare interview questions before field visits.

4. Visit selected businesses and interview founders or shop owners in person.

5. Understand and document their origin story, initial struggles, investment details, revenue insights (if shared), growth journey, and future vision.

6. Take structured notes and capture photos or videos when required.

7. Share detailed and accurate story inputs with the central editorial team.

8. Ensure factual accuracy and assist in converting raw information into publishable stories.

9. Balance responsibilities between work-from-home research and on-ground field visits in Jaipur.

1. Strong communication skills with confidence in speaking to business owners.

2. Comfortable conducting face-to-face interviews independently.

3. Basic understanding of business and entrepreneurship concepts.

4. Curious about Jaipur’s local business ecosystem.

5. Able to build trust and maintain professional conduct with founders and entrepreneurs.

6. Proactive and self-driven in discovering new business stories.

Additional information

1. This is a hybrid role based in Jaipur with 50% research work from home and 50% field visits.
