Job Overview

We are seeking a Mid-Level Lead Instrument Engineer for a full-time position located in Bharuch. This role involves overseeing the instrumentation and control engineering tasks within our operations. The ideal candidate should have relevant experience and expertise in distributed control systems, instrumentation and control systems design, as well as the capability to conduct hazard and operability studies.

Qualifications and Skills

• Expertise in Distributed Control Systems is essential for this role to ensure integrated control over complex processes (Mandatory skill).

• Proficiency in Instrumentation and Control Systems Design is mandatory for developing efficient and reliable control environments (Mandatory skill).

• Conducting Hazard and Operability Studies is critical for identifying potential risks and ensuring safety (Mandatory skill).

• Solid understanding and application of Programmable Logic Controllers to automate and optimize industrial processes.

• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical is required for creating and interpreting technical schematics and diagrams efficiently.

• Knowledge of Fieldbus Systems, specifically PROFIBUS and FOUNDATION Fieldbus, is important for improving communication and operation.

• Experience in Process Safety Management to maintain and enhance system reliability and safety.

• Familiarity with ISA Standards, such as ISA S88 and S95, is necessary to ensure compliance and promote industry best practices.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the design and implementation of instrument and control systems for various projects.

• Oversee the integration of distributed control systems ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

• Analyze and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical material to guide system design.

• Conduct routine hazard and operability studies to identify and mitigate potential risks in the systems.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to develop effective solutions and ensure alignment with project goals.

• Maintain and ensure compliance with industry standards and guidelines to support process integrity.

• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving system malfunctions and provide expert guidance to engineering teams.

• Continuously monitor and enhance system performance and implement necessary updates or modifications.
