Laboratory Technologist

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Chair, Pure and Biomedical Sciences department, School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, the successful candidate will be expected to support learning activities in Biochemistry laboratory.

Responsibilities:

Designing and conducting lab tests according to standard procedures

Supervising and assisting students during laboratory and research sessions

Ensuring student adherence to safety protocols while performing practical’s

Management of laboratory supplies

Using, cleaning and maintaining various types of equipment.

Segregate and dispose laboratory waste appropriately

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Physiology from accredited university.

Minimum of three (3) years relevant experience in a similar position in a research or higher learning Institution.

Ability to work with minimum supervision.

Experience in an accredited laboratory will be an added advantage

Excellent skills and competency in Physiological techniques, pathology or human anatomy. Clinical Biochemistry is an added advantage

Registration by relevant regulatory body (if applicable);
