Junior Accountant (Local candidate)

Job description / Role Employment: Full Time Location: Abu Dhabi Employment Type: Full-time Department: Finance & Accounting Reports To: Senior Accountant Job Summary: We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our accounting team. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong academic background in accounting or finance, even if they have no prior work experience. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for assisting with financial record-keeping, reporting, and analysis, gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic corporate environment. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in maintaining financial records and preparing financial reports. - Reconcile bank statements and assist with month-end and year-end closing. - Maintain vendor accounts and prepare vendor related payments. - Conduct financial data entry and ensure accuracy in all transactions. - Assist with the monthly VAT computations and returns. - Assist in maintaining documentation for financial transactions. - Collaborate with team members to ensure deadlines are met. Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. - Strong analytical and numerical skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. - Willingness to learn and adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
