Job Description:

We are looking for an ambitious Junior Accountant to provide support to the main business division of the finance department. The role will include assistance with day to day transactional processing in to the key systems operated by the company, along with ad hoc reporting requirements.

Prepare weekly/monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations and ensure timely follow up on unallocated/unreconciled items.

Provide processing support to the accounts receivable and accounts payable staff.

Ensure that Delegations of Authority are being followed for cash outflows and report exceptions.

Post journal entries to ensure that all relevant transactions are recorded.

Update financial data and documentation on a timely basis in to the key systems used to ensure that information is well tracked and available.

Assist the team with the preparation of monthly closing requirements adhering to deadlines.

Assist with analysis of actuals vs budget and prior years.

Scope will likely include elements of Project Accounting, Cost Control and Internal Audit further in to the role to give the candidate an understanding of a wide range of accounting functions.

This is a 3 months internship.

Desired Skill & Expertise:

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduated or nearing completion of a Bachelor Degree (Accounting/Finance specialty).

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Excellent verbal and written English.

Must have an interest in Commercial Operations.
