Internship: Jnr Formulations Developer

Introduction Villa Crop Protection is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intern to join our Laboratory team for a 6-month internship. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in a laboratory setting. Skills Good communication abilities both oral and written. Dynamic, positive and enthusiastic to learn and understand new technologies and apply this knowledge to formulations Good analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills Good time management, self-motivated and keen to take on responsibility Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities Desired Experience & Qualification National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field will be an advantage Basic understanding of laboratory procedures and safety protocols Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions Effective communication and teamwork skills Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic laboratory environment Preference will be given to candidates with No previous experience Responsibilities Formulating control samples for the laboratory in time to be used for laboratory analyses. Assist formulations developer with verifications of new, old and current formulations Assist formulations developer with Troubleshooting and investigation formulation failures, component replacements / alternatives and new formulation. Assist formulations developer with reporting outcomes of all formulation related activities. Assist direct line manager with customer complaint investigations where required Complete all wet chemistry analyses and reporting as required by the formulations developer. Timeously complete calibrations and verifications and filter and other inspections as per task list Timeously removal and safe disposal of various wastes and expired samples as per task list Daily filling of retention and technical samples as per task list Carry out any reasonable, legal and job-related instruction by management Adhere to safe work practices and procedures Package & Remuneration A Market related Internship Allowance
