Graphic Designer Intern

Full job description We are looking for an enthusiastic graphic design intern to join our company and provide creative ideas to help achieve our goals. As a Graphic Design Intern, you will be responsible for providing support to the Marketing teams through a variety of projects, (digital, web, and others as assigned) and work across various functions. The Graphic Design intern will assist with the development and design of core graphics, sample photos, event logos, collateral event materials and a variety of other creative tasks as assigned. The Graphic Design Intern will also be assigned various website updates and photo selection for marketing material. This is a great opportunity to bulk up your portfolio and expand your experience in various marketing areas! In this position, you will be in office. Responsibilities: The Graphic Design Intern’s primary duties include but are not limited to: Selecting sample photos for marketing material, blog posts, and website use Prepare images to coincide with social and blog posts Assist with website and blog updates Assist with collateral updates Creation of various logos for products Interaction with clients via email to share revisions and finished designs Creation and updates to various sales collateral Creation and updates to email campaigns and mailing material Creation of marketing and branding material Ensuring brand consistency throughout all creatives and following brand CI guidelines Other projects as assigned Requirements and skills: High functioning knowledge of design programs such as Adobe Creative Suite, CorelDRAW Graphics Suite, Must be proficient in basic copy-writing skills, Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks within identified timeframe, Organized, dependable and detail oriented, Very strong research skills, time management, and planning skills, Desire to learn fast, self-motivated and organized, Strong desire to learn along with professional drive Solid understanding of different marketing techniques Excellent verbal and written communication skills Passion for the marketing industry and its best practices Currently enrolled in or completed a related qualification (I.e.graphic design.) Nice Can Haves: Experience with modern web development techniques & technologies: JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, Understanding of File Sharing Platforms (Google-Drive, Dropbox), Experience with WordPress, English language skills Adobe Suite, Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop (Can be provided) Job Types: Full-time, Learnership, Internship Contract length: 24 months Pay: From R5 500,00 per month Application Question(s): What software programs are you proficient in using?
