Job Title: Geophysicist

Organization: Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC)

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification:

• Master’s degree in Geophysics/Applied Geophysics/Physics or equivalent from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks.

2. Experience:

• Freshers and experienced professionals are welcome to apply.

• Relevant experience in seismic data acquisition, processing, or interpretation is preferred.

3. Age Limit:

• Minimum: 18 years

• Maximum: 30 years (Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per government norms).

4. Additional Requirements:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in geophysical software tools and applications.

• Willingness to work in challenging environments and travel as required.

Key Responsibilities

As a Geophysicist at ONGC, you will:

• Analyze seismic and geological data to locate hydrocarbon deposits.

• Plan and execute geophysical surveys.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess exploration prospects.

• Utilize advanced geophysical tools for data processing and interpretation.

• Ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations during operations.

Selection Process

The selection process will include:

• Computer-Based Test (CBT): Covering subjects like General Awareness, Geophysics, and Aptitude.

• Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates from the CBT will be invited for an interview.

• Document Verification: Final selection will be subject to verification of eligibility criteria and documents.
