What will your essential responsibilities include? · Calculating appropriate risk premium by considering the risk costs inherent to the respective sector as well as the Underwriting and general administration costs while ensuring profitability. · Reviewing complex submissions including applications, policy wording, inspection reports, loss runs, and financial reports while conducting appropriate research to determine degree of risk for each account. · Proactively advising, assisting, servicing and following up with clients on insurance and risk management matters to ensure satisfaction and fulfillment of their insurance requirements. · Effective relationship management to initiate opportunities, cross-sell offered products and ensure account retention. · Support the business planning and forecasting process; monitor financial exposure within outlined limits; monitor premium income to ensure it remains within set limits. · Maintain awareness of all claims advised while supporting and providing input on settlement of claims. · Working collaboratively in a team environment, assisting the greater team for combined success You will report to the Underwriting Manager. SHARE your talent We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills: · Bachelor’s Degree preferred and equivalent experience in the relevant class of business. · Possess a high and extensive level of technical knowledge and skills in Financial Lines, Cyber and Casualty. · Ability to work independently. · Ability to respond to a changing environment with flexibility and innovation. · Marketing - Effectively plan for sales and business development. Integrating the use of various techniques, tools, and information to support profitable business growth over a defined period. · Negotiation/Sales - Plan, structure and conduct negotiations with brokers and/or clients to reach outcomes that gain the support and acceptance of all parties. · Analytical Skills – Visualize, gather information, articulate, analyze and solve complex problems in order to make key business decisions. · Interpersonal Savvy – Build excellent interpersonal relationships with brokers, clients & colleagues with the intention of improving personal profile and reputation within AXA XL and the broader market. · Industry Knowledge - Understanding of the insurance industry and specific product portfolios to positively impact the underwriting business by improving personal technical & functional knowledge FIND your future AXA XL, the P&C and specialty risk division of AXA, is known for solving complex risks.
