Job Description

Role Overview As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers in the design, development, and deployment of critical features and infrastructure for our credit card products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Risk, Compliance, and Operations, to ensure that our solutions meet business and regulatory requirements while delivering an exceptional customer experience. Key Responsibilities • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. • Architect, design, and oversee the implementation of secure, scalable, and high-performance credit card systems. • Collaborate with Product, Risk, and Compliance teams to define requirements and technical strategies. • Ensure the delivery of high-quality software through best practices in software development, testing, and deployment. • Drive technical excellence by implementing modern engineering practices, such as CI/CD, automated testing, and microservices architecture. • Maintain a strong focus on system security, compliance (PCI-DSS), and risk management. • Manage project timelines, resources, and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment. • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to keep our credit card platform competitive and future-ready. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. • 7+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2+ years in an engineering leadership role. • Strong experience with backend development using languages such as Java, Python, Ruby on Rails, or Node.js. • Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes). • Expertise in designing and managing scalable financial services platforms, preferably in credit cards or payments. • Solid understanding of PCI-DSS compliance, security best practices, and risk mitigation strategies. • Strong knowledge of APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures. • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth fintech environment. Preferred Qualifications • Experience working in the fintech or payments industry. • Knowledge of credit risk modeling, underwriting, and fraud detection. • Familiarity with machine learning and data analytics in financial services.
