A Delivery Executive is responsible for delivering products to customers in a timely, efficient, and professional manner. This role involves ensuring the safe and accurate delivery of goods, maintaining customer satisfaction, and following company protocols.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Delivery of Goods:

Deliver products (groceries, non-veg items, fruits, milk, etc.) to customers as per the delivery schedule.

Ensure accurate delivery of items as per customer orders, verifying details to avoid errors.

Collect payments or manage payments using digital systems, if required.

Route Planning:

Plan and follow the most efficient routes for deliveries to minimize delays.

Use GPS or routing apps to navigate and track deliveries.

Customer Interaction:

Maintain professionalism while interacting with customers.

Address customer queries or complaints promptly and politely.

Provide an excellent customer experience by ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.

Order Verification:

Verify the quantity, quality, and condition of the goods before dispatch.

Ensure all required documents are attached to the package, including invoices or receipts.

Record Keeping:

Maintain detailed records of deliveries, payments collected, and any issues encountered during the delivery.

Report any discrepancies, damages, or delays to the supervisor.

Product Handling:

Handle products with care to ensure that items are not damaged during transit.

Ensure proper packaging, especially for perishable or fragile items.

Timely Reporting:

Report back to the team leader or supervisor at the end of the day with any updates, challenges, or feedback from customers.

Report any issues with vehicles, delivery conditions, or personal safety concerns.

Safety Compliance:

Adhere to all safety regulations, including proper handling of goods and the use of safety equipment.

Follow traffic laws and safety procedures while driving or walking during deliveries.

Inventory Management:

Assist in inventory checks when needed to ensure stock accuracy.

Ensure all products are delivered on time and no stock discrepancies occur.

Work Environment:

Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle (if applicable) to ensure smooth and efficient deliveries.

Ensure personal hygiene and appearance are in line with company policies.

Skills and Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Valid driver’s license (if required for vehicle operation).

Ability to read and follow maps or GPS instructions.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Time management and organizational skills.

Ability to handle money and process payments (if applicable).

Basic knowledge of local geography and roads.
